A Tarom Romanian Air Transport Aerospatiale ATR-42-500, registration YR-ATA performing flight RO-703 from Bucharest Otopi to Iasi (Romania) with 30 passengers, collided with a flock of birds while on approach to Iasi resulting in rumbling noises and vibrations of the airframe for the remainder of the flight. The airplane landed safely about 10 minutes later.

The return flight RO-704 had to be performed by a replacement aircraft.

Flight RO-703 was carrying the soccer team of F.C. Dinamo Bucuresti.
