Plane leaving Palm Beach diverted after possible bird strike

An AirCanada flight was diverted Monday afternoon after the pilot had reason to believe the aircraft struck a bird.

AirCanada officials say Flight 921 was leaving Palm Beach International Airport and headed toward Toronto when they heard a noise that indicated a possible bird strike.

The pilot landed the airbus carrying approximately 130 passengers at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport without incident.

The passengers were placed on another flight.

No injures were reported.

The F.A.A. is investigating.
