An Aegean Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration SX-DVO performing flight A3-907 from Larnaca (Cyprus) to Athens (Greece), struck multiple birds while climbing out of Larnaca. 4 birds were ingested into the right hand engine, which needed to be shut down. The crew returned to Larnaca, where the airplane landed safely a few minutes after liftoff.
A replacement Airbus A321-200 registration SX-DVX was dispatched from Athens, which delivered the passengers to Athens with a delay of 4:20 hours.
