A GoAir Airbus A320-200, flight G8-321 from Ahmedabad to New Delhi (India) with 102 passengers and 6 crew, rejected takeoff at high speed from Ahmedabad after a kite was ingested into the right hand engine during the takeoff roll. The airplane slowed safely and taxied back to the terminal.
The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto Spicejet’s flight SG-106 departing about one hour later.
Six fan blades were damaged by the bird strike, maintenance reported.
