Narrative:
UPDATE Aerodrome Safety reported that the initial report of a dead perch about a pound and half (perfect eating size) found on runway 16 at Calgary was unfounded. Further reports that the fish was picked up by a daredevil CL215-flight crew who were conducting water pickups on the Bow River inside city limits and then dropping the water on unsuspecting patrons at the Cecil and the St. Regis hotels is without substance. However airside operations personnel did locate and remove the remains of a fish identity/type/size unknown although a common sucker is suspected and bird feathers from an Osprey were located and removed. The Bird and Wildlife biologist at Calgary reports that this event was a bird strike and that Osprey are known to fish in streams east and north of the city. There have been no reported of a bird strikes regarding this occurrence.
