Birdstrike to Wind Jet A320 in Amsterdam

A Wind Jet Airbus A320-200, registration EI-DOE performing flight IV-465 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Forli (Italy) with 90 passengers, struck a flock of birds on departure from Amsterdam ingesting a bird into one of the engines. The airplane returned safely.

The engine suffered damage to a number of fan blades.

A replacement Airbus A319-100 registration EI-EDM was dispatched and reached Forli with a delay of 5 hours.
