A Kingfisher Airlines Airbus A320-200, flight IT-3148 from Indore to Mumbai (India), ingested a bird into an engine while on initial climb. The airplane returned to Indore for a safe landing.

A post flight inspection revealed damage to several compressor blades.

A replacement aircraft has been dispatched.
