A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 747-300, registration AP-BGG performing flight PK-301 from Islamabad to Karachi (Pakistan), departed runway 30 and was about one minute after liftoff, when engine #4 (outer right) ingested a bird resulting in an engine surge. The engine was shut down, the crew continued to Karachi, where the airplane landed safely on three engines.
Engine #4 (RB211) needs to be replaced.
