American B738 at New York on Jun 30th 2009, bird strike leads to nose gear problems

An American Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N907AN performing flight AA-1256 from Miami,FL to New York La Guardia,NY (USA) with 135 passengers and 5 crew, was on approach to runway 22 at a height of about 900 feet, when the crew reported a bird strike. The crew continued the landing and rolled out safely. While taxiing to the apron the crew reported problems with the nose gear and shut the aircraft down. The airplane needed to be towed to the gate.
